Picnic
We can organise a picnic as a social event where people are free to move, can help to prepare the food, and can take part in a variety of activities (sports, culture, themed workshops, etc.).
A picnic can also be part of a celebratory event such as outdoor wedding ceremonies or anniversary parties.
The food can be tailored to suit the nature of the social event:
- dishes prepared in front of the guests in large pans, or on a grill or barbecue (meats, vegetables, fish and desserts)
- hot and cold dishes and salads on a buffet table
You choose the venue for your picnic, and then together we decide how to set up and how best to manage the event.
We can only organise picnics for larger groups (at least 50 people). We do however have equipment for hire for picnics for smaller groups.
In days past some of the largest events were for Iskra staff; we catered for 16,500 people at one such event. Now the largest event is the annual Mercator works picnic, where we serve 25,000 people.
